Power to change

Hi! It is great to be home. The cost of living is very high in Hong Kong. Eating out can be very expensive. But it is interesting to note that eating at McDonald's is much cheaper than eating at the food stalls. We are so blessed to be living in Malaysia, where food is good, cheap and yummy.

Now for some spiritual food. Hope you are learning something about the Holy Spirit.

What does the Holy Spirit do in my life?

READ

Galatians 5: 16-21

plain. It shows itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions; in worship of idols and witchcraft. People become enemies and they fight; they become jealous, angry, and ambitious. They separate into parties and groups; they are envious, get drunk, have orgies and do other things like these. I warn you now . . .

Draw a line under any of the words in this verse which you think describe the society we live in. People haven't changed much in 2000 years, have they?

PRAY

Think of someone you know or a situation you've seen on the TV which shows these things in action. Pray for that person or that situation.

READ

Galatians 5: 22-26

But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control.

Draw a line under any of the qualities in this list where the Holy Spirit has been helping you to improve. (For example, if he has been helping you to be more loving or more patient). Now put a circle around the qualities where you need help.

PRAY

. . . for the Holy Spirit to help you, especially with those things you've circled.
