Here are some things about being a disciple of Jesus we've learnt over the last few weeks:
- telling our friends about him
- stopping being selfish
- treating others well
- putting Jesus first
- working hard for Jesus
- letting others see him in us
- learning more about him
- praying as Jesus showed us
- trusting Jesus to answer
- remembering God's power
- thanking God for His love
The list could go on, and if we were always doing all those things, we'd be mega-disciples! BUT - we don't always.
Which do you think you're good at? Tick three of the items which you think need more work - ask Jesus to help you with them next week.
Jesus understands when we don't do as well as we'd like to. He doesn't ever stop loving us, whatever we're like.
Pray about the things that "need more work", and ask Jesus to help you to:
". . . see him more clearly,
love him more dearly,
follow him more nearly,
day by day."
Life is worth living wherever you are...deep down in a dungeon, or high on a star.
Life is worth living...it all has a plan. When God knows you're giving, the best you can.
The saint or the sinner, the great and the small...we all are God's children, and He loves us all.
So pray when you're happy, and pray when you're blue. For life is worth living, when God lives in you.
