Just before he died Jesus celebrated the Jewish festival of the Passover with his disciples. He turned it into a special way of remembering his death which we call Holy Communion. John in his gospel tells us some of the things Jesus taught his disciples on that night.
IMAGINE
. . . being in the room with Jesus that night. Jesus is very serious. He is talking about going away and you don't really understand where or why. How do you feel? Listen as he makes a special promise.

Why did the Holy Spirit come (v. 20)?

Still imagining you are in the room with Jesus, how do you feel about the promise that the Holy Spirit will come?
THANK
. . . God again for the Holy Spirit. Thank him especially for the way in which he helps us to understand the Bible.

Do questions about God's existence often trouble you?
When a picture paints a thousand words, put your thoughts to this simple picture :-
....Jesus kneeling to wash His disciples' feet. He humbled Himself to do that lowliest of tasks....
If He allows disaster, how could He also be so kind and loving?
His sacrificial love for us should cause us to surrender to Him. Always hold close to your heart to know that His Best Is Mine To Have.
John 13:5
"After that, he (Jesus) poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him."
