God's Acceptance

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, July 30, 2010 at 12:12 PM

Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow (Isaiah 1:18). Soak up the full reality of God's grace handed to you through Jesus Christ - absorb it all! Two major causes of depression are a loss of confidence in ourselves and a loss of respect for ourselves. The answer is found in the beautiful message of Jesus Christ: I accept you and love you as you are, and when you take My love and acceptance, My worth and power will become your worth and power.

Come this Saturday for Ignyte and found out more about God's unconditional love and on Sunday I am going to preach about God's grace!

Activate Faith

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 11:59 AM

When Peter stepped out onto the water, he activated what he believed. Faith is not theory. Faith is action! You have to step out for God to step in. You have to move first so that God can move next. Jesus grabbed a hold of Peter when he started to sink. God will uphold anyone who steps out in faith and prove His faithfulness, even when you slip!

Give Thanks

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 2:09 PM

Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks . . . (John 6:11). Christ taught us such a simple act - that of giving thanks to God before we would eat our daily bread. But it is being neglected many times today. Sometimes we eat in such a hurry that we forget to stop and thank God for our daily food provisions. He is the One who gives us the strength and wisdom to work and the power to gain wealth (Deuteronomy 8:17-18). He even sends the rain and sun to make things grow. Thank your Heavenly Father for His providence.

No Compromise

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at 10:50 AM

A life of no compromise is based on making the right decision at the right time. It is not allowing yourself to be taken off course until your objective is met. This is why it is important to allow the Holy Spirit to govern us in a way that will keep us focused. He serves the purpose of seeing that the mandate of God will be carried out in this world.

Trusting God

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, July 23, 2010 at 12:10 PM

Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him (Job 13:15). How can our Lord teach us to trust Him unless He removes us from our comfort zones? Remember this: When you have nothing left but God, then for the first time you will learn that God is enough! Express your trust to Him and declare it to others. He will give courage and reward you with the blessings promised to those who have learned to trust Him in the dark.

I will be preaching on Ezekiel 47 this Sunday and I am very excited at what the Lord has to say to us about going deeper in our spiritual life - Getting It Over Our Head!

Fulfilling Your Destiny

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, July 22, 2010 at 12:01 PM

The happiest people in the world are those who are living out their dreams. More men and women fail through lack of purpose than lack of talent. For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep (Acts 13:36). What makes you cry? What thrills your heart? What gives you energy? What condition makes you say: I cannot rest; I will not rest until this condition is changed. We have only one life, one opportunity, one chance, so don't waste it.

God Rewards Faith

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at 11:14 AM

God is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6). God will use His power on behalf of those who seek Him. The centurion in the Bible had diligently sought Jesus, believing Jesus could meet his need. He believed the word of Jesus Christ was all that was needed. Jesus did not have to be present for the need to be met. As a centurion, all he had to do was issue an order and it was carried out, whether he was present or not. He was a sovereign commander. He was saying, How much more are you, O Lord. Speak the word only and my need shall be met. What a forceful and powerful lesson on faith for us all.

March to His Beat

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at 11:04 AM

Charles Swindoll once said: If we seem out of step with the world, it is because we march to the beat of a different drummer. We sing a different national anthem and pledge allegiance to a different flag because our true citizenship is in heaven. Any dead fish can swim downstream. God is looking for some people that will go upstream!

Be Spirit led

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Monday, July 19, 2010 at 11:36 AM

Read: Romans 4: 13-25

The Scripture tells us Abraham was fully persuaded (Romans 4:21)This happens when a man or woman has transitioned out of being led by their emotions and grasped the revelation of the power of the Holy Spirit. Whatever vision God has in store for you today, you must know that to operate in faith is not to be governed by your emotions because faith is a Spirit attribute.

Chosen to serve

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, July 16, 2010 at 10:58 AM

And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry (1Timothy 1:12). God has chosen you for a ministry. The way you serve Him and the Church is varied and according to His gifting and call for your life. However, there are three basic things to remember: (1) God chose you for it! (2) You must be faithful in it! (3) He will enable you to do it!

~ Fred Horner

So be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour in the Lord is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58)

I can do all things

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, July 15, 2010 at 12:41 PM

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13). Set out to make the most of each day. Get visualized. Get vitalized! Spend some moments with God reading Scripture and in prayer. Decide what you want to do with this one day God has given you. Though at times things do not turn out the way we expect them to, allow God to take your poor efforts and turn them into something beautiful for Jesus. It is amazing how things will improve and you will get back in the game, and you will win!

We are more than CONQUEROS through Jesus Christ!

Start and Finish Well

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 11:31 AM

Hi! we start our blog again. Sorry I was away. Was with the Boots family and the 5One4 team before they left for Perth on Tuesday morning.

Today we want to talk about starting and finishing well.

There is nothing so fatal to character as half-finished tasks (David Lloyd George). The end of the matter is better than its beginning (Ecclesiastes 7:8). Twice the energy is needed to end well. Christian life is a marathon, not a 100 meter dash. We draw our strength from the battle. From our greatest conflicts come our greatest victories! Let us finish our race with a winning attitude and be counted faithful!

Be Radically Changed

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:11 AM

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed (metamorpho) by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12: 2). The word conformed is an outward expression that does not come from within. Transform is exactly the opposite. It is an outward expression that does come from within. We get our English word metamorphous from the Greek word metamorpho. Metamorphous is a radical change. Think about when a little tadpole metamorphoses into a frog. That is a radical change! Or a pupa metamorphoses into a beautiful butterfly!

POWER TO CHANGE! The Holy Spirit has the power to change you. Will you surrender your will to Him and allow Him to change you?

Do God's Will

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 10:47 AM

Jesus said, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work (John 4:34). What satisfies Jesus is doing what the Father wants Him to do and complete His work. The longer we live, the more we realize things of this world do not satisfy. As soon as we purchase or achieve something, it begins to lose its beauty or fascination. Whether it is a new car, a new house, a new job or vacation, nothing fully satisfies our souls except when we are involved in doing God's perfect will for our life.

Not Ashamed of the Gospel

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at 12:03 PM

Do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord (2 Timothy 1:8). Too often we shrink back from giving an open confession of Christ because we are embarrassed or shamed by our family and friends. When the Lord Jesus was hung on the cross, He bore our shame as well as our sins. Think of His humiliation and be willing to bear embarrassment the next time you are tempted to be silent about Him.

Light to My Path

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, July 6, 2010 at 11:49 AM

The Word of God directs us in our work and everyday living if we are obedient and sensitive to His leading. It is easy to go astray when we follow our own will and inclinations, and along the way we can often encounter snares. But God assures in Psalm 37:23, The steps of a good man (woman) are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. It would be foolish to ignore God's help. His Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path (Psalm 119:105). Again in Proverbs 6:23, we see that the commandment is a lamp, the law is a light, and reproofs of instruction are the way of life.

Mind of Christ

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Monday, July 5, 2010 at 12:14 PM

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus (Philippians 2;5). Maintain a sound mind in your life - that is one of the best ways to protect yourselves from fear. Fear is a terrible feeling. It causes so much strain and stress to your body that it can literally shut a person down. Notice the instant reaction to fear: it freezes you for a second or two, sometimes longer. Someone defined FEAR as: False Elements that Appear Real. A poem on the wall of a cathedral reads: Give me a healthy mind good Lord, to keep the good and pure in sight; which seeing sin is not appalled but finds a way to set it right.

Reach for eternal goal

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11:12 AM

With the football fever on, it is appropriate to talk about GOALS

Before Paul's conversion he was madly persecuting Christians. A touch from God changed his life forever. The one who considered himself as one of the best Pharisees that confesses he counts himself nothing and considers himself as not yet taken hold of what Christ took hold of him. Look at the drastic change in his motivation and goal. His new goal was to receive the prize of eternal life in Christ and the crown of righteousness. Are you running towards goals which are self justified, worldly and materialistic or are you pressing towards the new eternal goal with eyes firmly fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith?

Make it your goal to bring at least one non Christian youth to the youth concert this Saturday and let God transform and change him/her. POWER TO CHANGE!

Life's Purpose

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, July 1, 2010 at 10:15 PM

A painter, designer and songwriter all have something in common - they are all creators of some sort. They hope that one day they will become famous and their creation will bring wealth. Likewise, God our Creator created us in His image and out of His love for us. But He does not want just our wealth. God wants our total obedience. He wants us to honour Him in praise and worship. We can glorify our Maker with the right attitude, build a right relationship with Him and win souls to His Kingdom.
