SCENE SEVEN
Setting: A Storm
READ
Job 38: 1-11, 19-21
Asking questions is easy. Answering is usually much harder. And understanding the answer can be almost impossible! Sometimes you just have to believe the expert, even though it doesn't seem to make sense.
That's what God was telling Job (v. 5). After all, He had been there a lot longer than Job had!
THINK
All the time we are accepting things we don't understand. I don't really understand electricity, and I certainly don't understand how my computer works. But I still use them. Fortunately, someone else understands them better than me.
Job was learning the hard way that God knows the best thing for us, even if it is hard to take.
PRAY
. . . for anyone you know who is doubting God's love because of the bad things that have happened to them.
