Honour Your Parents

As children we often tend to take many good things in life for granted and never really thank our parents or show sufficient appreciation for the sacrifices they made. Exodus 20:12 encourages us to treat our parents with honour, give due obedience and courtesy to them so that our days may be long in the land the Lord our God gives us.
So invite your parents for Parents' Day tomorrow in church at 7.30 p.m.
Ask them to dress their best - there will be the Most Best Dressed Dad and the Most Best Dressed Mom contest!

Thanks for the hard lessons that have helped me to know myself and others better.
Thanks for cultivating in me the humility, obligation to never sleep on my laurels, necessity to understand the failures of other people just like me, at times do need a helping hand.
Thanks for the multiple discoveries of reality and truth.
Thanks for the good things I have grasped and the bad things I have dodged, for solutions I have found and talents I have grown, victories I have earned and beautiful days I have lived.
Thanks for the journeys I have made and the meals I have had.
Thanks for the growing awareness that God is tending me.
Thank you, mum and dad.
