What's in a Name?

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, May 28, 2010 at 12:13 AM

Things happen when you call upon Jesus. The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runs into it and is safe (Proverbs 18:10). When you encounter difficult problems and confusing circumstances, rest in Jesus' strong name. Be thankful that "God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow. . . and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord . . ."

Faith is believing

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On at 12:09 AM

Whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours (Mark 11:24). The world says that seeing is believing, but God wants us to believe in order to see. Saint Augustine said: "Faith is believing what we do not see, and the reward for this kind of faith is to see what we believe. How very true.

Do you believe? Yes you do! Pray first and then believe you have received.

Submit to God's Will

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 7:26 AM

Jesus had no program, no agenda and no vision other than the Father's will. Live today saying: My only desire is simply to do the will of the Father, not to make it easier on myself or better for my family; not to find more fulfillment in what I do personally or to establish myself financially. I just want to do His will by the power of the Spirit within me. Live to please the Father today!

Not my will, but yours, O Lord!

Thank God for the answer

Today (BTW, it is still Sunday in the US) in the church service in Emporia, Kansas, they honoured the high school graduates and the college graduates. They each received a gift from the church and the church prayed for them.

They have this culture in the States where the graduates will host graduation parties and people are invited to their homes to celebrate together with them. So we went on our rounds to all the different graduation parties. Very interesting!

Today our devotion is from John 11.

Jesus said in John 11:41, "Father, I thank You that You heard Me. Jesus thanked His Father for the answer before Lazarus was raised from the dead. Do we practice the Master's sequence: praising and thanking God before the answer comes? Nothing pleases the Father more than we, by faith, begin thanking Him for the miracle before it happens. Do it now! Don't wait for feelings!

Be Strong and Courageous

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, May 21, 2010 at 12:30 PM

Be men (women) of courage; be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13). We should never pray for an easier life, but we should pray to be stronger in the Lord! Never pray for a task equal to your strength. Pray for strength equal to your tasks. God will make your life a miracle as you appropriate your power from Him!

Read Joshua 1: 1-9.

On Eagle's Wings

But the Lord will be a shelter for His people (Joel 3:16). Are you a wounded soldier of Christ today? Go to Him with your wounds. You will find that He will restore your tired brain and body. He will heal your broken spirit from the unexpected tests and blows that have buffeted you. Don't just pray for crutches. He will give you wings.

Read Isaiah 40:31

Carry an attitude

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 11:01 AM

As a Christian you believe in Christ and are saved, but what about your attitude? Attitude is an outward display of the values within your heart. And values are the deep-seated paradigms that have seeped into us.

Look at what the Bible says and expects from us.

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ. Even though He was God, He did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing. Being made in human likeness, He became obedient unto death. Philippians 2: 5-8.

Follow the attitude of Jesus. The attitude of obedience is most pleasing to God.

Destined for Greatness

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, May 14, 2010 at 9:36 AM

Destiny is determined not by chances, but by choices. You live only once so live with purpose! Every day you are making decisions that will shape your destiny. God has designed you for greatness. Do not allow the minor issues distract you from God's goal and plan for your life. Because Jesus is in you, your destiny in Him is secured.

RISE UP!

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 2:16 AM

How is it possible for you to think that just because you seem so young, inexperienced or weak God cannot really use you? Forget that thought! David conquered Goliath or did you forget that? It does not depend on your age, experience, education or strength. It depends on the Holy Ghost and His anointing. God does not send his servants to battle then leave them stranded and powerless. Rise up in His power today!

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1: 6,7

Hi

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On at 2:56 PM

Hi guys,

Didn't realize that my last post was 14th April. So many things have happened since then. Good things, of course.

Charis got married. Went on a missions trip and realise my dream of teaching in .......... (you all know where). Then after one day of frantic washing and packing, off we go to the States. Ministered at The Walk church, San Diego pastored by Ps John and Stephanie Beck. Nate goes to this church. He will be getting married to Christine on June 18th.

We have a great time here catching up with the members. The church has really grown matured and solid. Had a great time ministering to them. We were able to flow very easily in the church.

Will be on the road again. Once I am in Sequim, I think I will have more time to blog.

God bless.
