LAY HOLD OF YOUR DESTINY

2 Kings 6:24-7:11 tells of some lepers who took a hold of their destiny and made a decision to move out of their present circumstance. This drastic act of faith saved not only their lives but also the lives of an entire nation. What circumstance are you in today that is preventing you from moving into a better tomorrow? Why sit ye here till you die?

LIGHT AND SALT

God wants to use us as His instruments - to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. We should thus go in boldness to preach the gospel to every creature.

Luke 4:18 says, The spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

VISION

PURPOSE IN YOUR HEART

Miracles are not by accident. You must purpose in your heart to have all that God has for you. Some people want to catch the anointing like getting a cold. But God says, Move toward me and I will move toward you. We must take the first step to activate the power of God in our lives. A great violinist had finished a wonderful performance and a lady who had been so moved went to the man and said, I would give my life to play like you. He replied, That is what it takes, for I have given mine.

1 John 3:16 "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. . ."

Would you lay down your life for Him?

Vison and Dreams

FULFILLING YOUR DESTINY

The happiest people in the world are those who are living out their dreams. More men fail through lack of purpose than lack of talent. For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep (Acts 13:36). What makes you cry? What thrills your heart? What gives you energy? What condition makes you say: I cannot rest; I will not rest until this condition is change. We have only one life, one opportunity, one chance, so don't waste it.

Only one life it will soon be past, only what is done for Christ will last.

VISION

JESUS FREAK

Count Nikolaus Ludwig von Zinzendorf said, "I have but one passion; it is He, He only." A Jesus Freak is one who gives his all no matter what the score - my utmost for his highest! A Jesus Freak is one who sees every challenge as an opportunity. Some people look at things as they are and say, why? Some people look at things as they could be and say, why not? Are you a Jesus Freak?

A shoe manufacturer who decided to open the Congo market sent two salesmen to the undeveloped territory. One salesman called back: "Prospect here nil. No one wears shoes." The other salesman reported enthusiastically, "Market potential terrific! Everyone is barefooted."

How do you look at things? Robert Kennedy said, "Some people see things as they are, I try to see things as they could be."

Paul prayed, "that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened. . . " Ephesians 1:18

VISION

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 10:09 AM

This week we look at the topic - "vison".

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

Helen Keller was asked: What would be worse than being born blind? She replied: To have sight without vision. Vision is the energy behind every effort and the force that pushes through all problems. People will only catch what has caught you. What do you see in your spirit? What do you eat, sleep and dream of? It is a dream that keeps us young. It is a vision that keeps us going. Have a God vision, one which you can lose your life in it.

Read Genesis 15: 1-6

Then God led Abram outside and said, "Look at the sky. There are so many stars you cannot count them. Your descendants also will be too many to count. Abram believed the Lord. And the Lord accepted Abram's faith, and that faith made him right with God. Genesis 15: 5, 6

Abraham believed the God who gives life to the dead and who creates something out of nothing based on a vision God gave him.

GOOD FRIDAY

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:28 AM

Today is Good Friday. It is good for us to look at the scriptures and reenact the scenes leading to the crucifixion.

Worthy is the Lamb

Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace

Thank you for this love, Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace

Worthy is the Lamb
Seated on the throne
Crown You now with many crowns
You reign victorious

High and lifted up
Jesus Son of God
The Darling of Heaven crucified
Worthy is the Lamb
Worthy is the Lamb

Matthew 26:26-30 (New Living Translation)

26 As they were eating, Jesus took some bread and blessed it. Then he broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples, saying, “Take this and eat it, for this is my body.”

27 And he took a cup of wine and gave thanks to God for it. He gave it to them and said, “Each of you drink from it, 28 for this is my blood, which confirms the covenant between God and his people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many. 29 Mark my words—I will not drink wine again until the day I drink it new with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”

30 Then they sang a hymn and went out to the Mount of Olives.

Matthew 26:36-46 (New Living Translation)

Jesus Prays in Gethsemane

36 Then Jesus went with them to the olive grove called Gethsemane, and he said, “Sit here while I go over there to pray.” 37 He took Peter and Zebedee’s two sons, James and John, and he became anguished and distressed. 38 He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”

40 Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? 41 Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”

42 Then Jesus left them a second time and prayed, “My Father! If this cup cannot be taken away[a] unless I drink it, your will be done.” 43When he returned to them again, he found them sleeping, for they couldn’t keep their eyes open.

44 So he went to pray a third time, saying the same things again. 45Then he came to the disciples and said, “Go ahead and sleep. Have your rest. But look—the time has come. The Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. 46 Up, let’s be going. Look, my betrayer is here!”

Matthew 27:27-39 (New Living Translation)

The Soldiers Mock Jesus

27 Some of the governor’s soldiers took Jesus into their headquarters and called out the entire regiment. 28 They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. 29 They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. Then they knelt before him in mockery and taunted, “Hail! King of the Jews!” 30 And they spit on him and grabbed the stick and struck him on the head with it. 31 When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified.

The Crucifixion

32 Along the way, they came across a man named Simon, who was from Cyrene, and the soldiers forced him to carry Jesus’ cross. 33And they went out to a place called Golgotha (which means “Place of the Skull”). 34 The soldiers gave him wine mixed with bitter gall, but when he had tasted it, he refused to drink it.

35 After they had nailed him to the cross, the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice. 36 Then they sat around and kept guard as he hung there. 37 A sign was fastened to the cross above Jesus’ head, announcing the charge against him. It read: “This is Jesus, the King of the Jews.” 38 Two revolutionaries were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

39 The people passing by shouted abuse, shaking their heads in mockery.

Matthew 27:45-54 (New Living Translation)

The Death of Jesus

45 At noon, darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. 46At about three o’clock, Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?” which means “My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?"

47 Some of the bystanders misunderstood and thought he was calling for the prophet Elijah. 48 One of them ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, holding it up to him on a reed stick so he could drink. 49But the rest said, “Wait! Let’s see whether Elijah comes to save him.”

50 Then Jesus shouted out again, and he released his spirit. 51 At that moment the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn in two, from top to bottom. The earth shook, rocks split apart, 52 and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. 53 They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.

54 The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

THOUGHTS

GUARD YOUR MIND

Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall (1 Corinthians 10:12).

Do not become lazy in your Christian life. The best Christians in the world fall when they get trapped into thinking indifferently. You've got to be sober every day of your life. You've got to stand cautious at all times. You've got to guard your mind and control your thought life. Develop your mind to be a control station and not a garbage dump!
