God enables you with His power

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, October 29, 2010 at 11:46 AM

I can do everything through Him who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13). Whatever the Lord has for you to do, He will bestow the power. Whatever the Lord wants you to be, He will supply the strength and transformation. Whatever challenges He gives you, though they may be beyond your natural ability, He will supernaturally enable you to do well. Go for it! He is all you need!

Champions are made

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:22 PM

Champions are made, not born. Goliath was a born champion, but David was the real champion. Goliath was naturally big, tall and strong, but David was young in age yet developed in every area of his life. There is a military saying: If you train like you fight, you will fight like you train. Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity (1 Timothy 4: 12-13).

I want the prize

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 1:12 PM

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:13-414). We need the attitudes of Paul:

1) The prize is not yet mine

2) I concentrate on getting it

3) I forget my past mistakes and successes

4) I stretch like a runner towards what is ahead.

5) I race towards the goal

6) I want the prize!

2 Timothy 4:7-8 tells us that he got it. Will you?

Run to Win!

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11:15 AM

Read 2 Timothy 2: 3-7.

v. 5: And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? (1 Corinthians 9:24). Have a passion to achieve. Run in such a way as to get the prize. Passion is determination. There must be a single-minded determination in our Christian life: To live for Christ to the best of our ability. Have an attitude like an athlete who is determined to win. Nothing less than full effort is acceptable. We are called to run, not walk. We are called to run not jog. Run to win!

Finish Your Race

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Monday, October 25, 2010 at 12:20 PM

On 20 October 1968, in Mexico City's Olympic Stadium, the closing ceremonies had just been completed when the announcer asked everyone to remain seated. The last marathoner came in hours ago and medals had already been awarded. Akhwari from Tazania, covered with blood, hobbled into the light. He had taken a horrible fall early in the race and endured a trampling before he could get back on his feet. Why after sustaining multiple injuries would you ever get up and proceed to the finish line? Akhwari said this: My country did not send me over 11,000 kilometers to start a race, but to finish one. Jesus sent you to finish the race.

Encouraging Songs

Posted by Ben - Chee Lupp | | Posted On Sunday, October 24, 2010 at 12:41 PM

Hey all, sorry I've never been helping out in this blog but it seems to be doing fine. Here are some songs that I would like to share to you guys. I hope that it will uplift your spirit and that you'll continue to praise God in whatever situation. God bless you guys...

As morning dawns and evening fades
You inspire songs of praise
That rise from earth to touch Your heart
And glorify Your Name

CHORUS
Your Name is a strong and mighty tower
Your Name is a shelter like no other
Your Name, let the nations sing it louder
'Cause nothing has the power to save
But Your Name

Jesus, in Your Name we pray
Come and fill our hearts today
Lord, give us strength to live for You
And glorify Your Name

Assuredly Yours by Paradise Live http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dVzLfyjAfw
All that I am is in You
All that I seek is to follow You
I run to Your side when You call
There is the hope I am longing for

Just to be by your side
There is hope in my life
There is no greater freedom I’ll find

So take my life
And all that I have to give
Take my world
Just inhabit all of it
Take my dreams
Make me assuredly Yours

Before the Morning by Josh Wilson http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZDQzR8LK-c
Do you wonder why you have to
Feel the things that hurt you
If there’s a God who loves you where is He now
Maybe there are things you can’t see
And all those things are happening
To bring a better ending
Someday somehow you’ll see you’ll see

Would you dare would you dare to believe
That you still have a reason to sing
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It can’t compare to the joy that’s coming
So hold on you gotta wait for the light
Press on and just fight the good fight
Cause the pain that you’ve been feeling
It’s just the dark before the morning

My friend you know how this all ends
You know where you’re going
You just don’t know how you’ll get there
So say a prayer
And hold on cause there’s good for those who love God
But life is not a snapshot
It might take a little time but you’ll see the bigger picture

Once you feel the weight of glory
All your pain will fade to memory

Dynamic Quotes

Forget yourself for others and others will not forget you.

Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12

The secret of contentment is the realization that life is a gift not a right.

Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 1 Timothy 6:6-7

Next Saturday we begin a new topic for our cell groups.. It is "Two Views of Wealth."

Can anyone remember that our last topic of discussion was "One Source of Significance" - What is that one source of significance? The first one to approach me this Saturday at Ignyte and give me the answer will get a free gift.

Love others as you love yourself

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 8:49 AM

If (because) you have . . . encouragement, comfort, fellowship, tenderness and compassion from being united with Christ; treat each other the same way He treats you (Philippians 1: 1-4: paraphrased). Because I am a Christian, God expects me to feel about others the same way Jesus feels about me. Because I am a Christian, Jesus expects me to treat others the way He treats me!

Spiritual Appetite

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 10:41 AM

One of the most essential ingredients of acquiring an appetite for God is to surround your life with people of spiritual appetite. If you walk in the counsel of the ungodly, you will become ungodly. If you stand in the way of sinners, you will be a sinner. If you sit in the seat of the scornful, you will become a critic of God. But if you run with those of a spiritual appetite, you will have a spiritual appetite. Appetites are contagious. If you want be red hot for the Lord, check the temperature of those you associate with. If they are all sub-tropic, then your spirit is going to freeze.

Shine for Jesus

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:53 AM

In a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life (Philippians 2: 15-16). When we go out at night we look up and see the stars. They light up the darkness and speak to us that there is a God. We are to be His lights down here. As the stars are up there, we are down here. As we live good Christian lives and hold out the word of life to lost people, we are His lights in a dark world.

Put Others First

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, October 8, 2010 at 12:06 PM

Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others (Philippians 2:4). "Others" is the key to this verse. It is the Christian faith that first made the word "others" important. Why did the Lord come to earth? It was for others. Why should we preach the Gospel? For others to know Him! To think of others instead of oneself is to have the attitude of Christ.

Thirst for truth

Posted by Ps. Jenny | | Posted On Friday, October 1, 2010 at 11:38 AM

We often admire and appreciate people who have gained success in life, and yet remain faithful in their desire to obey God and continue to thirst for His truth. They know that power, wealth and other worldly assets are not everything in life. These things are transient and we cannot take them to heaven. That explains why we should keep our focus on God and His Word. Proverbs 30:5 says, Every word of God is pure. He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. The Word of the Lord endures forever!
